I checked around and found a place that gives quotes online in just a few minutes. I found a local insurance company that quoted me $825 for coverage on my van. I had never heard of the company (Gainsco?) but I decided to go with them for the savings. I got a cracked windshield while following a dump truck a few months later, and I called Gainsco, they sent out a glass company and replaced it no charge. I think the major insurance companies charge way too much for insurance, maybe because of all the advertising.
