Is the Southern Poverty Law Center a decent resource in the Immigration Battle Anyway?
FAIR Report Nails the Southern Poverty Law Center
http://www.americanpatrol.com/
The Federation for American Immigration Reform has produced an excellent report on the Southern Poverty Law Center . It is required reading for all fair-minded people.
===============================================
I have caught the Southern Poverty Law Center in a dozen stupid spots.
Do we agree the Southern Poverty Law Center is a terrible resource on the matter of Immigration?
The American Patrol is being run by folks who use to work the Mexican Border as Border Patrol men. Not a perfect web site, but they provid insight and information that is critical to all of us. One such item was the Mexican Military that set up snipers on a Border Patrol group a couple of years ago. They didn’t shoot.. they were there.
http://www.fairus.org has testified before Congress many times. They have presented information and supported it for a very long time now, and while the folks who want the illegal aliens accepted don’t like them, they provide solid information for us all.
There are hundreds of sites that state this is not a good source and they are only after the money. I find it repulsive how they take on cases but end up with more money than the true victims they are suppose to be representing. Morris Dees is a joke and should have been arrested years ago for the crimes he has committed using splc as a cover.
This report on FAIR contains no footnotes, no cited authorities, no evidence of peer review, no articulated standards of evidence and no method by which factual errors can be reviewed and corrected. The SPLC used an altered photograph of a man burning a Mexican flag that had nothing whatsoever to do with FAIR or its activities. The SPLC developed new versions of old misrepresentations and added new ones simultaneously.
For the record, not one material fact stated in the SPLC reports on FAIR – and facts are hard to come by – is correctly represented. Most of the report on FAIR does not deal with FAIR directly, but pertains to opinion-based allegations about an ancient foundation that provided a few grants to FAIR years ago, a board member and people incidental to the organization. Almost none of it deals with FAIR’s activities directly and FAIR has responded to each of these assertions in detail. (See, http://www.fairus.org/site/PageServer?pagename=about_splcresponse)
Knowing that no one wants to be labeled a "racist," a "white Supremacist" or a neo-Nazi, the SPLC has willfully used fraud, misrepresentation, doctored photos and fabrications to make its case against FAIR. The SPLC has persistently altered its charges and refused to correct mistakes. In the same fashion as Senator McCarthy, it has used the taint of guilt by association and the foggy claim of "you are protecting racists" to justify charging innocent people of the very essence of reputation-destroying conduct.
The Federation for American Immigration Reform is well know for fair and balanced reporting of course ~ pigs might fly
And that link you gave is an affront to decent web sites ..put together by a 3 years demented chicken… by the looks of it

FAIR is a defunct association and lacks the capacity to assess any legitimate and intellectually fortified organization such as the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is not an authority on immigration nor are they an authority on racism — they are frauds who smear most right-leaning Americans with the broad brush smear of racism. They contend that reasonable Americans cannot oppose illegal immigration simply because it’s illegal or has consequences for our court and corrections systems, health care, education, etc. —- NO, the SPLC says, they must be racists and xenophobes. The Link below contains dozens of sources and links to support the contention that the SPLC are greedy frauds, nothing more.
